Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer – Proposal with strong mechanical knowledge to prepare technical and commercial proposals for EPC/industrial projects. The role involves analyzing tender requirements, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals.

Key Responsibilities
Proposal Preparation:
Prepare technical and commercial proposals for mechanical-based EPC/industrial projects.
Review tender specifications, BOQs, mechanical drawings, and client scope.
Prepare pre-bid queries, deviations, and compliance statements.
Cost & Vendor Coordination:
Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams for technical inputs and cost estimation.
Liaise with vendors for quotations, technical clarifications, and compliance.
Maintain vendor database, pricing history, and proposal records.
Timely Submission:
Ensure proposals are submitted on time in line with tender deadlines.
Support techno-commercial discussions and pre-bid meetings with clients.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare cost sheets, pricing structures, and proposal documentation.
Maintain accurate records for future reference and audits.

Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and industrial project execution.
Proficient in BOQ preparation, estimation, and proposal drafting.
Good command over MS Excel and documentation.
Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of valves (Ball, Butterfly, Check, SRV, PRV, Actuated valves, etc.) and bought-out items is preferred.
Understanding of piping design with ASME & ASTM codes is a plus.
Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, electrical hardware, and panels is an added advantage.
Prior experience in proposal preparation is highly desirable.
Number of proposals submitted on time vs. target.
Accuracy and quality of technical and commercial proposals.
Number of tenders won/converted.
Vendor response and quotation turnaround time.
Compliance with internal processes and documentation standards.
Feedback from internal teams and clients on proposals.
